Brooke’s book is part playbook, part pep talk, a behind-the-scenes look at how she built a thriving business while staying true to her values. It is no wonder that our team is inspired by her. She is the definition of a girl boss. 

*Sell it Like Serhant by Ryan Serhant is a bestseller that is a natural fit for the WCD mindset. These are the very skills our agents use every day. *Your First 365 Days in Real Estate by Shelley Zavitz encompasses the exhilarating and overwhelming feeling of how agents feel when first stepping into real estate. It can be scary, but like our agents will tell you, sometimes you just have to take that leap of faith, and know that it will work itself out.  

*Start with Why by Simon Sinek provides a simple but powerful message that inspires our powerful team of leaders to focus first on why they exist, their purpose, cause, or belief, and their WHY before talking about how they do what they do or what they offer. In all that we do through philanthropy and impact, our why is what drives us each day to leave a legacy. 

*The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz is as much about mindset as market knowledge. The principles teach about speaking with integrity, not taking things personally, avoiding assumptions, and always doing your best. This helps agents stay centered when negotiations get tense, feedback is tough, or schedules get hectic. By practicing these agreements, our team strengthens client relationships, keeps communication clear, and maintains a positive, resilient outlook no matter how busy the day gets. 

 

POWER OF WORDS: 

On average, humans have over 10,000 thoughts in a day... How do you navigate through that noise? On our team, we pride ourselves on the way we show up for our team, but also for ourselves. For example, our team lead, Ben Carbone is an advocate for meditation. When he is not selling houses, investing in properties, or running a conference for the Informed Investor, you will find him meditating. This practice was passed on to him by his father who always believed in channeling his inner strength, love, and resiliency.

Our team shared that they are in their car on average 5-10 hours a week, maybe more! If this is you, in any profession, throw on one of these podcasts on Spotify and Apple and let it fuel your drive, brain, and day! You got this! 

 

Finding Our Center in a High-Energy Business: 

Real estate is rewarding, but it can also be a whirlwind, long days, unpredictable schedules, and the pressure to always be ready for the next move. To stay grounded, our team leans on personal habits that feed both mind and spirit. For some, that means prayer or a quiet moment of self-talk: “being your own biggest cheerleader before the day even begins.” Others embrace slower mornings with journaling and gratitude, or a 15-minute sauna session paired with meditation to reset and refocus. 

For our team, movement is a common thread. You’ll find our agents at Hot Power Yoga, Orange Theory Fitness, walking dogs with our kids, exploring new trails, running, or hitting the weight room (see Ben’s selfies!). Those active moments aren’t just an exercise, they’re a mental reset, a way to clear the head and come back to clients with fresh energy and perspective. 

And yes, we celebrate the simple joys too. From late-night ice cream or wine to a late-night indulgence after the kids are asleep, or we can’t resist a good TV binge like Virgin River or Stranger Things. These small moments remind us that life is more than contracts and closings. They help us return to our work as whole people, not just agents on call (although we love doing both!)
